Mission: To Protect Human Rights. Education for all street and Under
privileged street Children ,Tribal Women Development, Rural Development
and Health Awareness Camps. Activity
Report: Sradhanjali Charitable Trust was established in the year
April 2004 by a section of Social Workers to act as Initiator and Catalyst
for development of Society through various Developmental Activities. The
Trustees have Organized several meetings at Head Office –Bhubaneswar and
have worked in various areas such as Health, Sanitation, Education,
Environment Protection, Tribal Women Development, Free Advocacy, Education
for Street Children, Work for Food, Sponsor a child etc. the basic needs
of human beings living in the Society. Preference has been given to women
and the children as woman can build the career of the child and the
children are the future of Our Country. As children are the future
citizens of Our Country but they are being neglected and exploited in our
Democratic Country. The following activities have been taken during the
period: 1)Education 2)Health 3)Awarenes Camp 4)National and International Days Celebration 5)Free Advocacy Education Being the first year and the year of establishment a
programme of education of members of Sradhanjali Charitable Trust was
organized at N4/215,IRC Village, Bhubaneswar. The Members were educated by
eminent Social Workers and Journalists from the city.Each member has been
assigned to educate at least 2/3rd people about the evils of Smoking and
Drinking. The Managing Trustee has been given the charge to monitor the
behaviors of each Volunteers at random.
During the time of Incorporation The Chairman of the Trust has
donated a sum of Rs.20000/-to a Government School at Jajpur District of
Orissa which will be kept by the said Government as Fixed Deposit/Corpus
Fund and yearly interest out of the Fixed Deposit/Corpus Fund will be
utilised for the purpose of distributing Prizes to the Merritious Students
for securing Highest Marks at the Annual High School Examination. This donation really helped
the students of the school to put their 100%efforts in accomplishing
Highest Mark in the said School.
During the month of Oct2004 the Trust arranged a Camp for providing
free meals for all the students i.e., Midday meal for class 1 to 5 at
Sutahat, Cuttack District, Orissa. Health Health is an important portfolio in India. So many people of
India are living in slums and rural areas are not conscious about health.
Various factors affecting health are not generally understood to the
people because of various reasons. Sradhanjali Charitable Trust has committed to take the
responsibility of developing the awareness of health among the rural and
slum people by making target groups. In this regard ,the Trust with the support of the Sub dealer
of TVS Group situated at chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar has conducted Free
Eye Camp in the premises of TVS Group. We are able to bring reputed
Opthalmologist to conduct free eye camp which is followed by Screening Eye
Camp, Free surgery for Cataract Patients.As there is special provision on
part of State Health Department to Provide free medicines, sutures, IOLs
and Spectacles for Cataract Patients, Free Transportation on behalf of
Govt.of Orissa. Hence we are able to conduct this free eye camp at
Bhubaneswar with the medical support of a local hospital. From the
Screened Patients the Base hospital selected 3patients for surgery,which
was done at the Base hospital and the patients were provided with free
medicines for 1month.Infact the above mentioned patients were operated
without any cost, but with the aid of the Sub Dealer of TVS Motor Company
Ltd., Bhubaneswar and Local Hospital. Awareness
Camp We Performed a camp on Environment Awareness Programme and
stressed the impotance of Pollution. In India street Dogs are exploited
like anything and demanded the Government for free hygienic Food for them.
We also associated with a local NGO who used to publish Journals quarterly
relating Ecology. Observations Trustees have observed the following days during the period

Advocacy The Trust used to provide free legal services as one of our
trustees is a leagal practitioner. Our main motto is to support the
innocent victims and punish the accused. We were committed to the
promotion and development of legal service to the weaker sections of
Society those were currently without access to proper Legal Council. We
have provided free consultancy with regard to Human Rights Violation,
Women Rights, Family Court specially Matrimonial Issues of weaker women.
Now due to lack of Funds for this current financial year we were unable to
conduct any free legal aid camp in rural area of Orissa. We expect this
