Activity
and Other Reports
We
started our Organisation in the year 2004 & with retrospective
effect we got ourselves registered u/s12AA & 80G under Income Tax
Act. Though our Trust got itself registered from various legal point of
view but till now we are unable to procure any foreign funding for which
we are able to accomplish our Objectives partially. We are able to
accomplish our objectives only through Support of Benevolent Persons. We
are actually having a dream of keeping all the children
those who have no access to education nor have any funds to join
any educational institution of Orissa. This
year we are able to do this noble project by educating around 30street
children through Informal education. Due to lack of funds we could not
construct shelter house for these children but we think by next year we
will certainly built up a shelter house for all the Orissa Street
Children (Khurda District) by providing them free food, clothing,
shelter
& Education so that they can stand up on their own legs. Once they
grow up it wont be a difficult task for them to lead a life. As
Article 28 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the child
says that children have a right to an education. Discipline in Schools
should respect children human dignity. Primary education should be free.
Wealthy Countries should help poorer Countries to Recently
we started a Project with Hounslow Heath Junior School, UK. The Project aim
is to make all the street children at least literate after due
consideration of their food, clothing & Shelter. The Partnership with
our foreign associate is reflected in the website named:-www.hounslow-heath-jun.hounslow.sch.uk.
To
find more details of the school link project go to the children and
click on School Council. The
students of this UK School has written many things by stating about
themselves, self introduction, their likings and disliking etc. & in turn
Our Street Children & other children (all below
15years)also started communicating with them through surface mail. The
Partnership is designed in such a way that each of our student will get
an opportunity for communicating with their foreign friends. Through
exchange of information we think that each student will gain more
knowledge about each others countries tradition, culture & religion
etc. This time our students made drawings while communicating with our
foreign students. There is also a letter of appreciation from our foreign
Partners. We think by next year we will make our students more literate
so that Communication between these groups can be easier and
faster. We
are also planning to connect computers with Internet so that atleast 4childrens can use these systems and chart with our foreign
associates. We are always thinking that every children should get an opportunity
of education to prove their inner quality. Once we come to
know the potential of a student then it is very easy to know their
expertise. These expertise can be utilised at a later stage. That is the
reason we started partnering with a foreign School.
